21 Analytics’ 2022 Triumphs
In retrospect, 2022 was a great year for 21 Analytics: the company grew in many aspects, and we achieved the goals we set out at the start of the year. We are proud of what was accomplished in 2022 and bringing data-safe compliance to VASPs.
Here’s a quick summary of what we got up to this year.
Once Again, We Were Technology Leaders
The 21 Product Family underwent various updates in 2022.
The Travel Rule compliance software 21 Travel Rule saw improvements, mostly demanded by customers. The latest version now offers virtual asset service providers (VASPs) everything they need and more in one product - from the option to approve or decline a transaction before it occurs to various self-hosted wallet verification methods, both relevant for effective Travel Rule Compliance.
21 Sunrise allows VASPs to continue transacting with any VASP, whether they have a Travel Rule solution in place or not. VASPs will be able to send and receive information to any counterparty quickly and easily.
21 Virtual Counter aids VASPs in requesting Travel Rule data from their customers in a streamlined manner without any extra development needed, ensuring compliance with the Financial Action Task Force’s (FATF) Travel Rule.
Entities involved in financial transactions or operating within the financial ecosystem often have LEI numbers. The regulation in various jurisdictions, including the European Union, suggests its use for VASP identification. Focusing on open initiatives that help VASPs start complying, we also developed a LEI generator for VASPs testing and developing their Travel Rule compliance.
We Extended Our Offering to Include Consultancy Services
We wanted to offer our customers even more and opted to extend our consulting expertise. Customers can now receive business consulting when setting up their own crypto venture, get guidance when implementing the Travel Rule Protocol (TRP) and receive advice on Rust projects from some of the best developers in the field.
We Actively Contributed to the Ecosystem
When we are not creating quality products and content, our team is active within the ecosystem. 2022 saw us host 2 informative events: Travel Rule in the European Union (EU) - Explained and Transacting with Unhosted Wallets as a VASP - TFR Explained.
On top of this, our co-founders have been key speakers at various events, universities and podcasts throughout the year, further facilitating the adoption of the Travel Rule.
Our Customer and Partner Base Grew
Our team worked hard and achieved fantastic results this year by signing many new customers locally and internationally and forming incredible partnerships along the way.

Our Team Grew and Bonded
The 21 Team grew by 20% this year, leading to further development in various avenues within the business. Because 21 Analytics looks for the best talent globally, our team is predominantly remote. However, teamwork is essential for the company, which transpired in us meeting up twice this year to co-work in Belgrade, Serbia and Porto, Portugal.
If 2022 is anything to go by, we welcome 2023 with open arms.
