ISO 24165
ISO 24165 is an international standard that defines a universal identifier for digital tokens*. The standard provides a unique code consisting of 9 alphanumeric characters, called a Digital Token Identifier (DTI). These codes are randomly assigned digital tokens which ensures consistent identification across different systems and platforms.
The standard, developed by the ISO subcommittee SC8, consists of 2 parts. ISO 24165-1 describes the method of registration and assignment of a DTI, whereas ISO 24165-2 describes the data elements required for registration and display on the DTI registry.
